Review of Paranoid Park (2007) by Ashley C — 06 Apr 2009
"Paranoid Park" has a very pedestrian story to tell, and it has some too obvious allegories and plot devices. Still, Van Sant's uniquely visionary style makes this an interesting movie experience that keeps the viewers' interest raised through the whole thing.
Also, some of the commentary on the social isolation of the youth is handled in a nicely straightforward way.
