Review of Paranoid Park (2007) by Daniel M — 13 Apr 2010
Gus Van Sant is back on form here, a superbly shot film that experiments with techniques and sounds that produce some great results. The narrative doesn't take any figuring out and comparisons to Memento are a little redundant as the trick here isn't to hide the truth from the audience but to understand the protagonist and how he feels.
A great little film that will you will enjoy if you liked Elephant.
