Review of Paranoid Park (2007) by Tiffany — 02 Aug 2008

A haunting and evocative coming of age story that involves a grisly murder and a young skateboarder...but it's really a story about growing older, trying to rationalize and justify our decisions, learning that our world stretches beyond ourselves and that even if you can "get away" with something, that doesn't mean it's left you.

Beautifully filmed and the sound design is truly haunting. In the end I wanted more, but then again, I think that was because the story grabbed me so strongly.
