Review of Paranoid Park (2007) by Kathy S — 09 Nov 2008

Really wasn't feeling this film. What I completely understand what Gus Van Sant was going for and trying to convey with this film. It was enough to keep me interested. I felt like the story could have been told within a smaller amount of time it was stretched out a lot.

The acting was pretty spot on though. Although our main character had tons of inter turmoil I felt at times the film lacked external conflict which I think would have made it some what more interesting and picked up the pace.

But I did really enjoy the music selection and the dream long takes of random ordinary stuff that he inserted.
