Review of Paranoiac (1963) by Dylan S — 07 Nov 2007
Paranoiac resembles an Italian giallo film, distancing itself from its Hammer Studios companions (classic literature involving murder, and monster franchises). Beautifully high-contrasted black and white observed on a 2:35:1 aspect ratio seals this the best little slasher you've never seen.
Paranoiac is the positive result of breaking outside studio traditions and the confines of audience expectation.
