Review of Paranoia (2013) by Dustin M — 15 Aug 2013
You always worry when you first hear about a movie two weeks before it's about to come out. That was my experience with Paranoia, which was shocking to me considering the supporting cast. It became apparent to be upon watching this film though that the trouble wasn't in the support as much as the lead.
Liam Hemsworth may or may not be a leading man one day, that mystery will be solved in the process of time. However, today, I can tell you that this movie was a dead fish and a lot of it fell on the shoulders of Liam Hemsworth.
The character he portrayed was at times robotic and despite the story putting enough pressure on him to crush the normal person he was trying to portray, he only showed it through blank stares at walls and countertops.
There was no tension because there felt like nothing was at stake.
