Review of Paranoia (2013) by Jim S — 30 Apr 2014

I'm genuinely surprised at how low of a rating this movie has. Don't get me wrong, it's a horrible movie, but normally horrible Hollywood dramatic thrillers have at least 30%. This movie is just about what I expected coming from Robert Luketic: a mindless, poorly written drama/thriller.

For how talented the cast is, I'm surprised at how lazy they appeared to be (probably Luketic's doing). The story tracks logically, but lacks any mystery, intrigue, suspense, and just about everything else a movie like this should have.

It did interest me enough to stay engaged throughout, but that's possibly just because I was expecting something dramatic to happen the whole time... Bottom line, this movie is just no good. Don't bother .
