Review of Paradox (2016) by Felipe927 — 28 May 2017
What a sci-fi delight, this movie transforms low budget into charm. The movie is from last year, but I felt like watching a fiction from the 90's. Paradox is about a group of scientists who built a time machine and are about to test it.
Obviously, something goes wrong and that's where the movie gets really interesting (for me, at least). I love the discussion behind the paradoxes that time travel would cause and this movie satisfies several of my points of view.
Even the contradictory ones, which left me even more entangled in the plot. The final twist is well articulated, brave ... And good! Low budget is visible in special effects, and maybe that's the biggest weakness of the movie for me.
Some performances are pretty weak too, but I just bought the idea and ignored it. Oh, I loved how the clock is well used on the stage, always around as if to say "you can play with time, but you can't stop it".
Anyway, very good, very recommended. An 8 would be exaggerated, 6 would be little. 7.
