Review of Paradise Now (2005) by Omae U — 30 Aug 2007
This had the potential to be a really gripping film. But instead of doing justice to the dramatic nature of the story line, the music and dialogue sometimes fell flat. It tries to be indie where it doesn't need to be.
It does a good job showing the perspective of the Palestinians but a few scenes about the abuses they've suffered at the hands of the Israelis would have made Asif's mindset more understandable to viewers.
