Review of Paradise Now (2005) by Kris S — 22 Sep 2009
Insightful story from West Bank about two young palestinian lifelong friends working as car mechanics and who suddenly get chosen on a suicidebomb mission to Tel Aviv and of their last 48 hours before the strike.
I have some palestinian friends in Israel who are not much different from myself except living in an occupied country. As much as I've talked with them about life there I could easily see this could have been a story related to their lives and mine as well if I were to live in such conditions.
The film doesn't try to convince us about any premeditated ideas about the wrong doings on eather side. What it gives is a short glimpse to an everyday life from the West Bank.
