Review of Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory (2012) by James O — 13 Mar 2012

I didn't see the first two Paradise Lost doc's but this does a good job of bringing people up to date who haven't. This subject matter is usually a type I tend to avoid, having small kids of my own, it just doesnt appeal to me to get too deep into things where kids are hurt or killed, but it was up for an Oscar so I thought 'why not?'.

It definitely sucks you in, it's very well made and despite some extremely disturbing crime scene imagery and graphic descriptions, you don't want to stop watching. Obviously this is one of the most notorious cases in some time and thanks solely to these docs and filmmakers, the accused are now free, and this is a great documentary to preserve that.
