Review of Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory (2012) by Matt C — 03 Apr 2012
Probably the strongest of the three documentaries, and if you wanted to watch just one then this is it. The previous two films are summarised, as well as new footage and updates from the three accused and their trials.
Finally we get to see some hard evidence that actually, it's very unlikely that they committed these murders. If their ultimate freedom is still unsatifying, well then that can neatly summarise the judicial process and police procedures on display.
Nothing was ever done correctly in this investigation and because of that we'll probably never know who commited the murders. An amazing personal project you feel for Berlinger and Sinofsky and they should be applauded for sticking to their principals, shows you the true power a documentary film can have.
