Review of Paradise (2013) by Paul O — 28 Dec 2013

Is Paradise a great movie...no. Is paradise a B movie...no. Paradise is a good "Chick Flick movie. Not a lot of great movies at Redbox right now. My wife and I watched Paradise and we both enjoyed the movie.

Diablo Cody wrote this movie, not as great as Juno, but still impressionable and worth $1.25.

Julianna Hough is still a little rough around the edges, but is getting better with every movie she makes. I think Hollywood agrees because she is cast with Russel Brand and Octavia Spencer, both of whom are A listers and have carried movies on their own.

I enjoyed both characters and Julianna Hough was charming and beautiful and had a handicap which supposedly made her "Ugly." A coming of age movie set in Vegas. Since she grew up in the LDS church and has seperated herself from it in her real life made her the perfect choice.

A good warm story with enough laughs to make it enjoyable. Holly Hunter and Nick Offerman (parks and rec) had small parts like Allison Janney and J.K. Rawlings in Juno.

If you think about a movie a couple hours after it is over is the sign of a good movie, Paradise is a good movie and worth 3 stars.
