The wild visuals and interesting concept is the only thing that "saves" this typical piece of self-indulgent undecipherable anime. Seriously, this kind of movies (Mind Game comes to... mind) look as if they're trying too hard to be hard to get.
"It can't be", the director seems to be thinking, "SOMEONE will be so confused by the movie to think it's his fault he didn't get it!" Well, I'm tired of this kind of anime.
I really did want to like it, but...
