Review of Paprika (2006) by Richard H — 06 Sep 2010
Paprika starts off really strong, but starts to lose steam after a while. This is mainly because after a certain point, it nearly stops making any sense. Despite that, the characters a pretty likable, and the story is interesting (even if incoherent). Between the great animation and nice soundtrack, there's a sort of energy in Paprika that made me really like it regardless of its flaws.
On a side note, I was bugged by the last minute romantic subplot that came completely out of nowhere. I have no problem with who it concerns, but there was virtually no build up to it.
