Review of Paprika (2006) by Elisha D — 29 Aug 2009
This is NOT for anime first timers, but if you've delved in at least one or two Japanese movies, this will be a pretty food romp, albeit a very complicated one. With an incoherent story, this movie should fail to deliver any sort of entertainment, but what it lacks in story it makes up in with beautiful art and graphics.
It seriously looks really pretty, and it is animated very fluidly. THe dub is pretty awesome also, with English voices being decent. The motif of dreams and alter egos can be really confusing, and in the end, you may feel like you just ended where you started, but if you stick with it, you won't be disappointed.
