Review of Paprika (1991) by Leah R — 24 May 2009
Paprika is the latest attempt from director Satoshi Kon whose previous works have been Perfect Blue,Millenium Actress, and Tokyo Godfathers. Paprika starts in a detective's dream state then we get out of the detective's dream to meet the main character Paprika then we find out about this new device called the DC Mini which can allow people to go into your dreams but then the device is stolen and we are told that anybody who has been connected to the machine previously it can trigger their dreams when they are awake so the detective and Paprika set out to find the terrorist who stole the DC Mini then it continues on from there but I am not going to spoil the experience for you the only thing that I am going to tell you it is the best anime movie I have seen since Perfect Blue and it is just great I hope you enjoy Paprika.
