Review of Papillon (1973) by Nicholas B — 24 May 2008
My first Steve McQueen! Though the movie lags at times, it's a strong film both epic in its historical scope and investment in pain and suffering and intimate in its highly detailed realism and its focus on our two protagonists.
Great performances from McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. I'm glad to have seen it.
