Review of Papillon (1973) by Hans L — 29 Jun 2008
When you've seen one great escape you've seen them all. Steve McQueen does for the French what he previously did for the Nazis. Minus the motorbike but there is a cooler he becomes well acquainted with.
Dustin Hoffman potters around in a perfunctory fashion as master forger Louis Dega. Ideas above its station further diminish this from being enjoyed as the popcorn nonsense it really is.
