Review of Papillon (1973) by Ross M — 01 Jul 2010
I love Steve McQueen, The Great Escape, Bullitt, The Magnificent Seven, all epic and brilliant, unfortunately Papilon is just epic. I know this is a true story and as stories go this should be one hell of a tale, but for the most part I was bored, both McQueen and Dustin Hoffman play there parts well, and there are some good moments such as the solitary confinement, but given that the whole film is about escapes and escaping it really isnâ??t that interesting or exciting.
