Review of Papillon (1973) by Debbie D — 21 Jun 2008
"Papillon" is a very dark movie but is still an excellent film that will keep you interested throughout. Great acting from McQueen and Hoffman. The scenes of Papillon's solitary confinement and the hallucinations he has while there are very effective and not easily forgotten.
Also unforgettable is the last scene with Hoffman attempting to convince McQueen not to leave the island.
