Review of Paper Towns (2015) by Cade H — 29 Apr 2016
Paper Towns was a good movie with a much different outcome then I was expecting. It focused on the relationship between a guy and a girl, and then transitioned into a film about true friendship between 3 high school seniors.
The entire time this mystery and the search for the missing girl unfolds, you think it is going to have an awesome, love filled ending and it ends up being anything but that. The fact that the plot threw me for a loop made it good but it just seemed weird and not very heartwarming the way things ended up.
The connection between the 3 main friends was great and there were a handful of very funny moments. I did think that the lead female character was a little blah and she ended up being very forgettable.
If you liked the book you will appreciate the film, but if your just watching the movie you should enjoy it just do not expect anything spectacular.
