Review of Paper Towns (2015) by Tey Z — 23 Jul 2015
Yes, it is faithful to the superior book but a 3 act film is not a book. It becomes a problem when the first act lasts for 3/4 of the film. Compounding to its problem is the fact the best part of the book lies within its 2nd act.
Nat Wolff is strange, sometimes charming and commands a strong screen presence, others flat and uninterested. Austin Abrams steals the show.
