Review of Paparazzi (2004) by Dylan D — 15 Aug 2006
I think that Paparazzi was very unfairly attacked by many well respected critics. The reason that it appealed to me was the fact of how it portrayed an ordinary problem with many celebrities today. No other film has ever angered me more than Paparazzi.
Fortunately, I mean that in a good way considering how it truly portrayed the monstrosity of the paparazzi. Despite the fact that Hauser's character commited murder numerous times, I still cheered for him all the way.
The film itself had a funny way of making viewers cheer for the murderer, but it pulled it off successfully. I loved the fact that the film did not really cast any major stars, because it brought a sense of realism to each of the characters.
Paparazzi contained everything that I would want out of a film. It had great performances, stylish scenes of suspense, and most of all, the action which made it a wonderful film. No doubt was it among the most thrilling of 2004.
