Review of Papadopoulos & Sons (2012) by Ignatios G — 09 Apr 2013
Amazing movie. Very good scenario, excellent cast, brilliant acting by ALL, nice photography especially taking into account the fact that the story takes place mostly in-house hence not many opportunities of landscape viewing.
Yet all was so nicely presented, with the proper framing and light, and especially the movie filter witch gives you a nice clear image and makes you feel you are in it rather than spectating the facts.
FANTASTIC choice of music. Fantastic sound quality and excellent choice of songs. Frankly I can talk about it forever. The best spending money for the year 2013 so far and definitely the best spending money on a cinema movie the last 12 months.
The funny thing is that I didn't really want to go and see it and I was actually psychologically manipulated by my English (!!!) friend. She was proven more than right (as always). And I am so glad for that because I LOVE THIS MOVIE! An absolute family movie that has been missing for quite a long time from theaters.
No blood and guts and porn for a change, which most probably is the reason theaters in the UK refused to play it originally and they gave it only a week after negotiations. Well done Marcus!
