Review of Pan's Labyrinth (2006) by Thomas L — 20 Dec 2013
One of a kind. Movies like these only appears once in a decade or so. The story takes all the classic fairy-tales that has influenced pop culture significantly and turns them all into an original, eerie, gruesome and visually marvelous movie that masterfully combines two different plots into one powerful story about the force of innocence.
It also has one of the best written open endings ever, not only in film, but also in general storytelling. Arguably the greatest film of the 00's, and in my opinion, one of the greatest films ever made.
