The soul of a cthonic princess is reincarnated into a young spanish girl who must complete three tasks assigned to her by a mysterious faun to return to her kingdom. All the while her mother is dying of a complicated childbirth & her evil stepfather is fighting rebels during the Spanish Civil War.
This wonderfully original & darkly fantastic film stands out as one of the greatest standalone fantasy/horror films.
