Review of Pan's Labyrinth (2006) by Miguel L — 13 Jan 2015
Del Toro created a surreal fantasy inside a Spanish holocaust. Although the storyline was straightforward, the fairy tale manner of narration did not isolate the audience to children because of a more serious reality that had been happening.
The movie opened the thought to a better reality and escape from reality on Earth, death--as it was the beginning of an eternity without suffering.
As much as the fantasy elements remained to be unbelievable and fictional, so are the realities that are realities themselves.
