This highly imaginative and dark fairy tale for adults is an engrossing and beautifully photographed piece. Abundant with strong performances, particularly from Ivana Baquero, Sergi López and Maribel Verdu, and showcasing the detailed and careful direction of Guillermo del Toro, 'Pan's Labyrinth' takes a short while to get going, but once it does, is a considerably compelling story.
