Guillermo Del Toro's sentimental masterpiece about innocence and the simple grace of childhood being torn away in a time of absolute desperation and trauma. There is an assortment of horrifying creatures in this film, but the real monsters are some of the humans that will do everything in their power to thrive and prosper.
