Review of Panic Room (2002) by Deb S — 13 Dec 2009
Jodie Foster plays Meg Altman, who is recently divorced from her husband and moves into a new house with her daughter Kristen Stewart. Meg and her daughter hide in the panic room (fortified "safe room") after three men break into the home.
The intruders are played by Forest Whitaker, Jared Leto and Dwight Yoakam and I really got a kick out of Yoakam playing a ruthless bad ass. Thus begins the cat-and-house game between the mother, daughter and the burglars.
Jodi Foster gave a very good performance. The plot was quite interesting, suspenseful and unique and the camera effects are dazzling.
