Review of Panic Room (2002) by Jared S — 11 Oct 2010
Had it's moments but the concept was somewhat lame to begin with. I'm not a big Jodie Foster fan, but she wasn't too bad. Besides the darkness of the setting this doesn't seem like Fincher - I'd expect more cleverness out of a movie with his name attached to it especially since this came after Se7en and Fight Club.
Some of the camera movements were cool but completely uncalled for considering this was just your average suspense flick. There aren't many strong qualities in this film I'd say, but it was at least watchable and entertaining.
Perhaps I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't watched a shitty bootleg version of it on youtube...
