Review of Panic Room (2002) by Matt M — 02 Aug 2013
A mother who buys a large house with the money from her divorce settlement gets an imprnetrable panic room, which is where she and her daughter take refuge when three thieves break into her house. Fincher shows great skill in building a suspenseful and claustrophobic atmosphere in this thriller with a Hitchcockian feel.
The great photography mixed with creativity expands the simple concept into a gripping and solid film aided by a good performance by Jodie Foster in the lead role.
