Review of Panic Room (2002) by Matt R — 07 Jan 2014
A fantastic low key thriller raised above average by an amazing cast that is transcendent all around, (Leto has always been underrated). Pay attention to the cinematography here though. Fincher's "kinetic vision" isn't all that original - Michael Bay, beat him to the punch in Pearl Harbor, The Rock and Armageddon.
Luckily Fincher has wit where Bay doesn't, (and let's be honest, Fincher is probably the most multi talented and superb director since Kubrick).
