Review of Panic Room (2002) by Julian K — 25 Jan 2015
People don't like this movie because they don't think it's right for David Fincher. They see fight club and seven and they think this guy can make these amazing intriguing, stories. But that's not what he was going for here. He wanted to make a straight up thriller. When you turn off the tv, the last 10 minutes won't be in your head for the next month because he was not going for that. And holy shit can this guy direct. He wanted to make a thriller and he did it extremely well. Now that that little rant is over, let me talk about the movie. It's great. Its the kind of movie you never take a piss break in. It's pretty intense. It's really well shot and overall well done. Watch it, it's good.
Btw it's the only Fincher movie to not get a blu ray releae. I mean why does Uwe Boll's BloodRayne: The Third Reich get a blu ray release and this movie doesn't?
