Review of Panic Room (2002) by Jon C — 05 Apr 2015
A smaller effort by director David Fincher but still above-average.
Jodie Foster and Kristen Stewart sell the movie as a hostage-boxed-in mother and daughter trapped in their own panic room with 3 burglars to deal with.
Jared Leto and Forest Whitaker have a lot of smashing thoughts about how to split their earnings once they've stolen it, not to mention that one of them works for the company that installed the security system in this family's house.
The movie still works very well being somewhat believable and realistic.
If you were stuck in a room with no way out how would you approach the situation?
Some of the escape/retaliation tactics are laughable but you see how much the mother and daughter want to get out alive.
Fierce, violent, and almost lifelike.
