Review of Panic Room (2002) by Fritz B — 12 Feb 2011
As inert as Panic Room can sometimes be, I like its keen visual style and acrobatic ethics/humor/nihilism. David Fincher's methodical artistry didn't do much for The Social Network -- even though that movie turned out a better result than this -- but I think (surprisingly enough) he shines in this middlebrow-epic, pop-horror experiment from earlier in his career.
