Review of Panic in Year Zero! (1962) by John M — 28 Sep 2008
Nuclear war causes society's morals to disentegrate quickly. It's a post apocolyptic world in "year zero" when everyone is still supposed to be civilized. Lots of looting and raping. Fathers teaching their sons to use guns to their advantage - gas stations raising their prices to $3 a gallon.
Regular folk turning on their neighbors. Hooligans kidnapping girls for their sex slaves. And Frankie Avalon in the middle of all of it. It was really interesting to see 1962's take on moral disentegration.
But the film is primed to run through MST3K's grinder.
