Review of Panic in the Streets (1950) by Private U — 18 Mar 2008
A straight shot of noir, no chaser. There's a lot of suprisingly relevant subplots in this film as well as an unforgiving realism in almost every shot. Elia Kazan's direction and choices is/are brilliant.
Bonus points for having a young Jack Palance and Zero Mostel as bad guys.
