Pandorum is a sci-fi/horror film directed by Christian Alvart who most recently had the film Case 39. The film stars Ben Foster and Dennis Quaid. The film mostly takes place on what seems like the biggest ship ever. The film's setting of the ship works because the sets were beautifully dark and void of anything that is anything bright. The sets are full of leaky pipes, dark corners, mildew, etc, that compliments the story. The pilot is all about Ben Foster's character, named Bower, trying to reach his wife and restore power to the ship. Quaid's character, named Payton, is Bower's eyes and ears as he watches from a control panel. As Bower moves though the ship he meets up with fellow survivors played by Antje Traue and Cung Li. The ship is also filled of other survivors but they are not as nice. The acting is fair to great, Foster gives a great performance but seems like he wasn't given enough to really shine. Quaid is also given the short end of the stick, but in the later part of the story he shines. The supporting cast is good and they do their job well. The move had great suspense and action set pieces, it had me at the edge of my set till the very end. The movie also had a few surprises and I was satisfied at the end. I recommend this movie with a group of friends. Turn off the lights, grab some snacks, and have fun.

Overall I will give this movie a 3.5/5.

Pros - Sets were great, little to no CGI, creature effects were amazing, suspenseful.

Cons- Drags at some points, acting not the greatest.
