Critics will be critics, you can never really trust a critique from the ones who get paid to do it. However, the 50/50 split on this movie from users surprises me a lot. I watched this with my son (7 yrs old) and we both enjoyed it.
He missed some things I am sure (like the whole labor crew rocking to, Smells Like Teen Spirit - which I thought was great!) but it was still engaging enough that he loved it. It sets everything up perfectly for a sequel to introduce Wendy and how the relationship goes awry between Pan and Hook.
I really hope the undeserved poor reviews do not hinder a sequel from becoming a reality. I think viewers need to lighten up and just enjoy the movie. I am flummoxed as to what poor reviewers were actually expecting from this film.
Don't let the fence riding reviews steer you away from seeing this movie. I am glad I didn't ;).
