Review of Pan (2015) by Joshua V — 10 Oct 2015
A surprisingly beautiful and liberating fantasy film. I watched this film and could not understand its bad reputation. The story was well told, showing a different perspective of the timeless character, the acting was top notch (even from newcomer Levi Miller) and the entire film made me feel like a kid again, giving me perspective on what potential the fairy tale/fantasy genre holds.
This film may not hold as much prestige as Joe Wright's others films (Atonement, Anna Karenina) but I don't believe he intended to do so and I respect his effort to try something different.
