Review of Palooka (1934) by Kevin M. W — 05 Sep 2016
It's a fish out of water tale as a simple country boy tries out life in the big city by becoming a prize fighter. Light dialogue moves this baby right along (except for that Jimmy Durante begins to irritate after a bit .
.. and that's a lot cause it's basically his movie!) and the characterizations seem as fresh as today. Durante performs his standard for which he was well known, "Ink-A-Dink-A-Doo" song as well.
Not bad at all.
