Review of Palo Alto (2014) by Ethan H — 16 Aug 2014
There is definitely something in the Coppola genes. This time it is Gia, adapting stories from James Franco about aimless teenagers in California. Three impressive central leads adds weight to a very impressive film about purpose and direction for today's teenagers.
This film is impressively directed with great care and beautifully shot. It is revealing and direct with many great scenes. Lack of major plot is won over by great character study and nuanced empathy.
