Review of Palermo Shooting (2008) by Pavandeep S — 14 May 2009
II do find this to be a very interesting film from Wenders, probably his most interesting film of those that I've seen thus far. What I liked about this is basically how much the main character treats images, it's so hard to comprehend but it feels like a genuine question of film as a whole, what does images do for us and what is it.
The whole film involving the art restorer and the photographer is one of the biggest clues as to Wenders theme here, understanding and making, the role of spectator and creator and the restorer and his assumptions on the creator's meaning.
That's what Wenders film really means, a long dialogue.
