Review of Pale Rider (1985) by Paul D — 12 Aug 2007
Clint Eastwood, Directs, Produces & Stars In This Classic Western About Faith & Hope. The Film Follows Miners In A Small Village, Which Are Being Threatened By The Major Of A Neighboring Town. A Preacher (Clint Eastwood) Is Passing Through, While Spending A Few Days In The Village He Inspires Both Faith And Hope Into The Community. But When The Villagers Enemies Hire A Crooked US Marshall & His Deputies To Inflict Death, The Preacher Puts Down His Collar, And Picks Up His Guns, To Help Save The Small Community.
This Classic 80's Flick Features Quite A Few Similarities To The Classic Western, Shane. Pale Rider Delivers Excellent Performances With A Well Written Script, A Decent And Uncomplicated Plot, Beautiful Cinematography And Great Character Development This Is A Great Piece Of Cinema, From An Era Where Westerns Had Died Out.
