Pale Rider is a true Western. It follows the rules that a traditional Western does, yet somehow manages to avoid most of the cliches. Sure, it doesn't really show us anything that we haven't seen before, but if you wanna watch Clint Eastwood shoot some guys up and save a town in the process, watch High Plains Drifter.
Then watch Pale Rider.
