Review of Paint Your Wagon (1969) by Kiera M — 08 Aug 2010
Contrary to popular belief, it really isn't all that bad. I'm shocked that people call this the worst film of all time--give it a break--it's wonderfully light-hearted and comical. Some tunes are catchy (Gold Fever, I Talk to the Trees, They Call the Wind Maria), some aren't.
The vocals are far from perfect, but charming nonetheless and Eastwood shouldn't have gotten such a bad rap. The downfall of the "No Name City" is certainly the most humorous part of the film.
It's completely ludicrous, but still enjoyable.
