While other critics lambasted this for being violent and misogynistic this isn't even close to the main problem. It is so erratic and uneven with completely unlikable and uncharming characters, which would be at least bearable if they were funny. Several failed attempts to integrate humour seems justified coming from film butcher, Michael Bay.

What's really frustrating is this could have been a good movie. The cinematography, the actors, the story, the grittiness... all were elements to construct an original masterpiece. But we can't give an A or even a B for effort. As Ed Harris' character stated, "What a waste.".
