Review of Pain & Gain (2013) by Javier H — 08 May 2014
A surprising film about the desire for power and the consequences of a bad-planned idea to become rich. Although it reminds to Scarface in its story of pyramidal power ascension, the classical Pacino's film is here changed by a more humoured and a less violent and dramatic sense of cinema.
Nobody expected this from Michael Bay, who had just gone lost after the madness of robots and dizziness which was the terrible Transformers saga. Therefore, this story deserves to be a "New Born" for the American director.
